Q. Threaded vs. Threadless Forks?
A. Threaded forks have been around ever since Razor started making scooters. The downside with threaded forks is that because of the threads in the top tube, the thickness is actually greatly reduced. Making threaded forks much more likely to break in between where the threads are. The upside though is that you can easily assemble and use you current Razor Pro Model Headset and Bars. Our threaded forks though are made with a much thicker top tube than the stock Razor Pro Model Fork which greatly increases the strength and durability. Now you might just be thinking why not get a threadless fork than? Well the difference is instead of buying just a threaded fork, when you buy a threadless fork you also have to buy a threadless headset and a compression system like ICS, SCS, and HIC. Although it is considerably more expensive almost all riders these days ride a threadless fork because of the option of buying a much smoother and stronger headset and a nicer compression system vs. using threaded compression.
Q. What are your parts made of?
A. Almost all of our parts are made from 6061 Aircraft Grade Aluminum or 4130 Chromoly Steel. We use aluminum because is great to work with and is very strong and looks great, we use steel because for the price it can't be beat.
Q. What size wheels will fit in your forks?
A. We build our forks to fit 100mm and 110mm wheels, looking at 125mm but not many people are asking for that right now.
Q. Do your forks fit on a Razor Pro Model Headtube?
A. Yes, all of our forks will fit in the Razor Pro Model and Ultra Pro Model Headtube and they will fit any other standard 1 1/8" headtube as well. You need to use a bearing race with our forks, we will not guarantee the fit without the use of a bearing race.
Q. Are your bars threaded?
A. No, our bars have no threads on the inside. Almost all aftermarket bars do not have threads anymore. Even the newest Razor Pro Model Bars no longer have threads on the inside. But don’t worry they will still work just fine. All you have to do is clamp the bars with a clamp and you are good to go!
Q. How wide should I get my bars?
A. Most riders recommend that you should use about the same width that your shoulders are as your width for your bars. This is so your arms reach straight down to help give you as much strength, support, and ease of riding possible. 20 high x 18 wide is very popular and is 22x18.
